RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

OK, I like it, but is it safe wiring wise, will it or potentially cause any kind of short?

RE: Extended tire spacing chocks

It's to add stability...I'll tell you we get a much nicer ride out of our Passport than we did our Antiqua. Not sure it's the tire spacing, but not sure it isn't.
Thanks Vader..we had those with the antigua..wont work on the new trailer...the space between the tires is much to far apart. Still looking for a good scissor chock option..I just prefer them....esp. when you have to use your levelers...easier to get a scissor chock in.
this set that I am using is designed for the wider space in some TT's my Zinger has a wider stance and they fit fine, can't use the regular just the larger sized ones,
check out the width I thought is was like 22 inches between tires
good luck

RE: How long does it take to 'break camp'

The wife has the "Inside" duties and I have the "Outside" duties. We always tend to take our time when breaking camping.
Grill, chairs, water hose, electric, table(s), hooking - up TV to TT, awning, chocks, blocks, TV, TV antenna, Fridge, garbage, bed, dishes, wash and vacuum floor take about 2 hours.
Keep in mind we normally take our time leaving a site.
We have done it about 30 minutes when needed, but prefer to take our time as I'm sure most of us tend to do.
we are about the same when we had our Antigua Hybrid, 2 hours, everything done in am after wake up

RE: Need Grill Suggestions

I would still go with the
Weber Q, I have the 200 & love it, I think the only difference is the 220 has a built in thermometer
I cook steaks, chicken, oven potatoes & love it

RE: Leaving a propane fridge on....

I would think that with solar panels you should be ok for an extended period of time, when I first got mine did a 30 day test and the battery made it about 2 weeks this includes igniting the fridge while it ran off gas, the minimal power that was drawn by the alarms & clocks still connected.
good luck

RE: Questions for Outback and Cougar Owners???

I think that the cougars are a little better quality but the Outbackers are a great group of guys, both pretty equal in quality

RE: Keystone TT's....any good?

looked at the springdales, outback's, cougars & liked them all, ended up with a Crossroads Zinger 30BH & loving it even with the little issues, camping is what you make of it not the camper. The big difference that I saw with Outbacks is the huge following & little storage space, check out the outbacker forum at http://www.outbackers.com/forums/index.php?
good luck to you

RE: alum vs wood vs vacuum bonded

whichever has the most for the bang for your buck will be the one for you, buying solely based off material didn't work for me, I bought comfort then material.

apparently Weber is the way to go, now if I am going to buy a Weber which do I want, the best bang for the buck for size/volume/price
